There are many of us wanting something quieter and truer. Wherever you're starting from, there's a place in this for you.

Individual membership is free — for good. Community groups, neighborhood stewards, and sanctuaries can also set up their directory listing pages at no cost in 2026, to help people find them in our network.

Coming online this summer

A good time to come in

The database, the library, and the research have been quietly growing for a long time. This is the summer they open to everyone. Here's what's coming for members.

For groups, stewards & sanctuaries

You're in good company

So many people, households, and small neighborhood groups are doing this work — growing food, feeding neighbors, holding a shared table, keeping a place of refuge. And a lot of them feel like they're figuring it out on their own, learning the same hard early lessons over and over, and wondering if anyone else even cares. It can feel disheartening.

You aren't alone. Hundreds and thousands are coming on every day, and we want them to find each other, learn from each other, and stay resourced — in the truest sense.

When you need more than a free listing, WholeFam offers technical, administrative, outreach, resourcing, and operational support to groups through community-supported membership levels, based on the needs and size of the effort. Most of all, we help with outreach — the gentler word for marketing: getting the word out in your community, sharing smart ways, and letting us toot your horn in your area. Water raises all ships — the more of us here, the more the whole movement is seen and believed.

Getting found

A real presence and a listing neighbors can actually locate.

Outreach & communications

Full calendars, newsletters, and content that reach your community, shared in smart ways.

Telling your story

Letting us toot your horn in your area, so the good work is seen and believed.

Stays, events & volunteer coordination

Scheduling and sign-ups without the chaos — so you can keep your hands in the soil.

Resourcing & administration

The backbone — the technical and operational help that keeps the effort running.

Full communications support

Affordable, complete outreach calendars and implementation for larger groups and sanctuaries.

When the community-supported levels activate, it's because you may need some of these things — the same things most of these efforts are up at night over. They're kept affordable on purpose, to give the people doing this good work the same reach and tools as anyone else, without the price tag that usually keeps them out.
